“Qualiconomical” prescription products
Qx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a 100% Filipino-owned corporation, was established on August 20, 2004. We are a subsidiary of TAO Corporation, one of the top fifty biggest companies in the Philippines today as attributed to its combined sales revenues. Our main office is located at the 19th Floor of the Citibank Tower in Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. We have a sales and training office at 203 Emerald Building, F. Ortigas, Jr. Road, Ortigas Commercial Centre, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
We are engaged in the business of marketing Medicines and Food Supplements on a wholesale basis. On March 20, 2006, Qx acquired Essen Pharma, a 20-year old pharmaceutical company marketing cough and cold medicines, pain relievers and antibiotics.
Qx's mission is to benefit as many Filipinos as possible with quality medicines and supplements at more affordable prices. This is done by selecting only established raw material suppliers and toll manufacturers of high reputation and long experience. For overseas sources of active ingredients, we have made it a policy to select from those with strong quality manufacturing practices, requiring bio-equivalent studies where available. We pride ourselves in marketing products that we ourselves would take without hesitation, if the doctor prescribes them.
Qx has toll manufacturing agreement with, among others, Lloyd's Laboratories and Hizon Laboratories, two of the country's top-quality, ISO-certified pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Management
Consistent with TAO Corporation's core values, Qx management --- seasoned professionals from local and multinational healthcare companies --- strives to promote entrepreneurship, commitment, excellence, passion for work, customer focus and a positive mental attitude in conducting our daily operations. To become "öne of the best" is more important to us than to become "öne of the biggest." We foster a working environment that is informal in style but serious in purpose. We balance a strong, hard-driving, control-oriented approach (to foster discipline and efficiency), with the supportive mentoring and leadership-promoting intent (for organizational sustainability).
Sales Organization
Qx has two divisions: Essencare and Qronocare. Essencare focuses on first-line therapy and is present in North and South Luzon, with a targeted nationwide coverage before the end of 2008. Qronocare is a new division promoting cardio-metabolic therapy and is focused on Greater Manila coverage, with a goal to go nationwide within 2008.
Distribution
Qx products are distributed alongside its sister company, New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation (NMPC) by Metro Drug, Inc. and its sub-distributors. Our products are available in all major drugstores, including Mercury Drug, where our professional representatives and specialists are deployed.
Products
"Qualiconomical" best describes the subsidiary's products --- uncompromising quality resulting in predictable therapeutic results, combined with economy that ensures patient compliance. Even its syrups live up to their great-tasting reputation.
Currently, Qx carries 15 products in the cough and colds, antibiotics, analgesic/anti-inflammatory, multivitamin and cholesterol-lowering categories. In 2008, we will bring in 6 prescription products in the anti-allergy, hypertension and diabetes categories. All these products are registered in the Bureau of Food and Drugs.
