Brief History
Started operations in July 1995; Negros Occidental as territory; manpower complement was 35; 7 trucks; posted an average monthly volume of 20 MSU (17,000 shipping cases)
Distributorship in Negros Oriental and Siquijor Island was consolidated under Macro - Negros Occidental in July 1997 with 80 people, 10 trucks & an average volume of 33 MSU (27,500 shipping cases)
2nd generation distributor operations began in July 2000 with 110 people, 14 trucks and a volume of 52 MSU (43,000 shipping cases)
People and Organization
The real heart and soul of Macro is its People and Organization who have built a strong culture of excellence through Macro's various HR programs. This is evident in the Company's zero regrettable turnover and the average number of years (7 yrs.). Its employees have been with Macro for 12 years. Macro has produced Best-In-Class (BIC) winners over the years: MAM Ryan Tumbagahan (FY 04-05 and 06-07), DSS Danny Vincoy (FY 04-05), FM Rowena Morales (FY 03-04, 05-06, 07-08), SCM Raffy Vargas (FY 01-02, FY 02-03), SCM Janine Besa (FY 06-07) and DIPP Juliet Villeta (FY 04-05). DSS Bebot Balibalos, MAM Richard Estelita and MAM Boy Guanco have been consistent contenders for the BIC awards.
Market Position
Today, the subsidiary posts annual sales of PhP1 billion. Macro’s pride is its recognition as P&G’s “Best in Class Distributor " for 2005-2006.
